The first Annual Prairie Acres Conference will be held this August 24-28, 2026 in Edmonton, Canada. The conference is co-sponsored by the Masonry Heater Association (MHA) and the International Masonry Institute (IMI).
This five-day/five-night event offers educational opportunities for masonry professionals looking to advance their own skills and knowledge. Registration includes:

The heater build registration (general registration) is $500 USD per person for current MHA members. The cost for Basics and Theory training is an additional $500 USD for a total of $1000 USD, and includes all handbooks, materials, instructor time, and heater mason training. Non-members will sign up with the MHA before registering for the event. (MHA membership is $275 USD for 12 months.)
Registration is now open. This first-time event has limited space, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Past trainings have sold out quickly. Registration will close on Friday, August 7th. Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.
